Sarah Kay Challenge 4 - Sketch

Please see across for my entrance piece into the Sarah Kay Challenge this week. The only thing that I am not happy with are the circles, which don't look very straight to me. It does not help that my fingers are swollen in the heat and the sissors dig in, must invest in a machine to do it all for me (research project coming on I think). Over all though I am very happy with how it has turned out. My papers are Dovecraft fairies in pink for the scallops, papermania inspirations warm for the backing and the white embossing is a clutterbug tile of Cathy's that I don't know the name of. The ribbon is stash, the flower and brad are papermania. The Sarah Kay image is My Sweet Lily. I have coloured her using watercolours. I hope you like x

Tilda and Co Challenge

There has been no challenge go up so far this week, i hope that all is ok with you Donna if you happent to see this x

Sarah Kay - Too posh to be square

Please see across my entrance for Sarah Kay - Too posh to be

Square. The card is round and is shown against a black background as there is a mount for it to stand upright beside it. The image is watercoloured and embellishment letters have been added as it is for a little girls's christening. I hope you like x

Katharina's Challenge - Whiff of Joy Designer Call

Here is my attempt at the wonderful sketch that Katharina had choosen for her challenge. The winner gets to be part of the design team for Whiff of Joy, and to play with all the wonderful ner stamps (Elizabeth Bell included!).
I have choosen to mount Tilda on her swing and set it over a background I received as a RAK. The papers are papermania simply elegent and warm inspirations. The ribbon was a freebee from a docrafts bag, the flower is making memories. I choose to put the flower on as the ribbon itself says congratulations. the card is bordered in puple glitter outline strips. Tilda and the backgrounds are all watercoloured.
I am very pleased with the card. I put alot of time and effort into it and I think it shows, I hope you like it too.

Finishing off - card 2

This was believe it or not surposed to be entered in the Magnolia challenge of Serendipidy, but I did not think the original image worked. I have instead added this one and it works really well. The papers are papermania elegence series.
Hope you like x

Finishing off - card 1

This is a card started a while ago and put to one side as I did not know where to go with it. I have added the diagonal ribbon and flowers and it now works. I hope you like x

Just an update....

So sorry I have not posted again for days but the boys have been ill again and I have not had the opportunity to craft at all. I have all the challenges to do and now seen a superb challenge on Katarina's blog, so I must try and get some cards done. I have 3 thank you cards to make, 2 birthday cards, a congratulations one and 10 blank female and 10 blank male cards on order. I really need to have a look for some male orientated stamps. Not sure yet whether to get another Sarah Kay or to look at Sugar Nellies. May get another Penny Black too - any input greatfully appreciated.

Need to order a watermark too.

Promise to post a card image soon x

ABC Challenge 3 - design team card -

C is for charms, a H and S image (thank you Heidi) watercoloured in, with a lace ribbon and charm added, the backing paper is papermania. Kept simple as it was sent to my aunt for her 2nd wedding on the 12th July, hence why the boy has grey hair (sorry Tony!) I used pearl embellishments in a heart shape to finish it.

Hope you like x

Sarah Kay Challenge 2 - A sketch

Please see my interpretation of the sketch on the left hand side. I don't know why I choose blue and brown as colour scheme but in a weird way it works! Papers are papermania, so is the ribbon, brads are making memories. Stamp is of course Sarah Kay.

Hope you like.

This card was made by Edward (28 months) and Henry (9 months) of summer blossoms. Sarah Kay - Lilac Challenge number 1

Magnolia Challege - Sketch

The sketch was done by Lorraine (whoese blog scrapmetal is on my list of favourites). I have used windy Tilda and mounted her on a leaf papermania paper. I surrounded the image with glitter outline sticker to keep in the purple theme and have added a hydranger flower in the corner over the ribbon. I think that Tilda been windswept works for the off centre layout.

PennyBlackSaturday - Challenge 3 colour

Sorry that this has no Green in it, but my sister asked me for a wedding card and green is unlucky at weddings, but I hope I am not penalised for this. Penny Black Stamp Hedgehog Kisses has been used. The image has been watercoloured before being mounted and surrounded by paperflowers. I have backed it on a pale pink card. Hope you like x

SBS18 - Challenge 8 Beaches, Summer Sun and Sand

This is Tilda as a Mermaid on a Rock. She has been watercoloured using pencils and then blended. The scales have then been glittered in a pale blue alternate so it is not too much and the jewels on her dress in a darker glitter glue - though it looks like blobs on the photo in the flesh it is not. The backing paper is dovecrafts fantasy. Anita's ribbon and a dovecrafts brad finish the card.

Blog Candy

Jennifer has the most amazing stamped image give away on her blog including the new Tilda's and Sarah Kay, I strongly recommend you have a look and her cards are wonderful x
