Papermania rub on transfers

Annoyed as yet again a different batch has not worked - but they were brought from the same shop as the other faulty ones. I think I will call Papermania tomorrow to see if they wish me to return these to them also.

My Paper World Challenge - sketch 9

A competition sketch blog I found while blog surfing. My Paper World Challenge had this fantastic layout, so I had to have a go. Will go back and try the past layouts I think, a fab find.

My card is Tilda, painted green on a green background, with burgundy and cream papers, papermania pushout flowers.

Magnolia challenge blog - 17 Eye EYE it is a Natural Feeling

This is my entry for this weeks competition. The rules were -

EYE EYE ITS A NATURAL FEELING....For this week's challenge it's abit of a double up,I Would like to see you use Eyelets if possible ( if you do not own them, then you can leave that part out or use brads)Along with anything Natural, Could be fibres, Leaves, Straw, Twigs, Papers etc as long as it is Natural with Eyelets ( if you have them )

I have used Papermania exquisite backing paper in the love pattern and added a black circle onto which I have added Edwin (first time using him and I have painted him - another first). I have added a presses minosta rose as the natural for him to hold instead of the roses he had in the stamp. I do not have any eyelets to I added a silk pink and a silk black flower held together with a pink brad on a bright pink ribbon to finish the card. I decided not to add to much to the card as I quite liked the simplicity of the design.

Look what I received from Papermania

I returned a rub on transfer as it was faulty and not only did they replace it and give me another, I got a packet of outline stickers, a packet of die cut shapes and 2 Do-craft back issues as an apology. Very happy I decided to return it now ;-)

Just a few simple cards - one pennyblack and two tilda's

Just a few quick simple cards made to send out. The yellow Tilda, was a get well soon card for a very poorly little girl of a very close friend. I wanted something nice and sunny to cheer her mum up. The pennyblack image is one Cathy sent me to try and was gorgeous to colour. It is for a little boys 2nd birthday, I used a bit of ribbon on the edge to lift the card, but as a lovely image I did not want to distract. The final is Tilda holding the baby. I wanted a simple card here too as the person it is for is not a fussy person. I think just mounting her on a pink background with black border works really well.

Papertake weekly - my first enrty

I decided to have a go at the competition this week at - http://papertakeweekly.blogspot.com/. I must admit I had problems with the layout. The stamp was a swaped image, but it really was too big for the card. I need to invest in larger 8x8 cards I think for this challenge - but at least I tried

Artist Trading Cards

My first one, the rules are they have to be 2.5 by 3.5 inches. This is made for a swap with Cathy. I have used pearlised white and light yellow quilling 3mm ribbon on a medium blue card. I hope she likes it.

Other than that I have been refilling my card stock as fingers crossed I plan to do a craft fayre at the end of the month. Just waiting for the Tilda stamps to come back into stock at Donna's shop otherwise may have to order direct, but I do like to try and support friends.

1. If a movie was being made of your life who would you like to be cast to play yourself? and why?

I would like Kirsten Dunst to play me as she is the only blonde actress at the moment who could demonstrate my bouncy character as a teenager.

2. You are spending a whole month on a dessert island for charity and you have to choose your favourite celebrity to spend the first two weeks with & your least favourite celebrity to spend the second two weeks with, who would they be & why?

My first two weeks would have to be Jeremy Clarkson, because he has such a wicked sense of humour, I also love his coloum in the sun and watch top gear just for him. he should be knighted, he is pure genius and says things just how they are.

Second two weeks would be Tony Blair, he drives me potty and I want to pin his arms to his side when he talks as he looks like he really wanted to be a conductor as a child not a politician.

3. What are your three favourite crafting products?

Tilda, glitter and pretty backing papers

4. If you could invent something to do anything what do you think it would be?

Not sure, something to help children not have tantrums would be fab at the moment (you can tell I have a 2 year old son!)

Magnolia Challenge - Girly but Blue

This is the first time that I have entered the Magnolia Challenge. I am very excited as I love Tilda and the standard of the challenge is high.

I have choosen gardening Tilda as my original choice was used by one of the design team (heart wrapped present Tilda). I have used papermania blue flowered backing paper, and used gems to highlight the corners, with a silk flower. I have raised Tilda off a bordered background, to which I added 3 gem flowers and a precut blue butterfly. I added some glitter glue to Tilda's wings to finish off. I am pleased with the result x

Isn't it just fantastic?

I won it in a blog candy organised by Donna of Craftykrafts. I am so, so, so happy with it. I seriously recommend that everyone checks out her blog and shop. Her cards are amazing.

My favourite Tilda to date

I adore this stamp and is one I really really want. The card is moss green and I have coloured her dungarees in the same colour with black boots. I had an outfit identical when I was younger and loved it. I also adored my dungarees when pregnant too!

Cute Card Thursday

Just a penny black image this week I am afraid. The theme is a male relative card. It is my Brother in Law's birthday saturday so I have decided to enter this image of a hedgehog on a golf ball. It is framed on a blue striped paper and then navy card, placed on 2 toned birthday paper with blue ribbon detail. I think male cards should be kept very simple.

Katharina is 30 tomorrow and to celebrate she is giving away a gorgeous Hänglar girl stamp. Her blog is gorgeous and I advise everyone to go and look. Her cards are amazing and she also runs her blog in both English and German. A lovely site for those new to card making and blogging.

Loretta's monday challenge

This is my first entry into a competition, I mad eit for my sister in laws birthday. It was quite nice following a template as then I just had to choose the papers etc. I do like the blues in this.

Cute card thursday

I am thinking of adding the flower fairy card to the cute card Thursday competition. What do you think? I may wait and see other entries before I embarrass myself!!!

I am so happy with this card, made with flower fairy doupage and papermania backing paper and a rub on message. I think it is very effective.

I have been looking at other Blogs after my friend Cathy won an award and I am astonished at the quality of cards out there, mine feel so inferior in comparrison. Mostly people are using stamping and colouring them in to great effect and mounting them up to finish, they are truely beautiful. Paul has agreed to me buying a few stamps if I wish to give it a try, but I may see if I can do a topper swap first, to see how I get on. Have been crusing Ebay and the web as I like the Penny Black Hedgehog stamps, to see if I can get a secondhand one to have a try with first before spending out.
I have also returned a packet of papermania rub-on transfers to the manufactor as they did not rub off and ruined two cards.

Introducing the new Georgina range!

This is a new special range of cards made exclusively for my sister and named after her. They are girly, glittery, sparkly cards.

This example is 4 pink glittery shoes on black card with a mounted centre piece.

This card was made for my Aunt, who's fiancee's daughter has just had twins. I am not sure if it needs something else adding to it or not yet.














This is a bookmark card that I made today, the backing paper is repeated on the otherside of the bookmark. I tend to like doing these at the moment as they are nice and effective.

One of my best friends Cathy suggested I join her in keeping a blog of my card creations. So this is my first attempt at a blog! I plan to post here a record of the cards that I make, when I get the chance! I will put a few of my favourite creations on here to show my style of cards.
