Tilda and Frog in pinks

The boys wanted to colour this morning so I brought a few copics downstairs and sat and coloured with them. The image is a rak of Jayne as even though I have this stamp it doesn't stamp properly and as it is the second one I have had think there is a fault in the run. The papers are Basic Grey Infuse one of my all time favourite pads although now discontinued. I have added frosted lace stickles to the flowers from Wild Orchard Crafts but not around the edges of the papers as the backing paper is green shot with gold so it isn't needed. The lace also sparkles in the light. I have added little gems in two of the corners to balance the flowers. I hope you like x

challenges -
  • Just magnolia - Sketch
  • Totally Papercrafts - Going to the movies (Princess and the frog)
  • Wild Orchard Craft - Lace (2nd entry)
  • Simon Says - Dotty (2nd Entry)

Sarah Kay in Brown and Pink

Hmm the jury is still out on this one.

It is for my mother in law who adores pinks and browns, so I tried to make it match her living room! I have used my new Sarah Kay stamp, from Zoe Bunny, and coloured her in using distressed inks. The papers are from the Basic Grey Porcelin pack and I have cut her out using nesties 2. I have distressed the paper edges and used vintage photo. The image I used chalks on ( a first for me but I love the soft effect). The papers have been edges with tea dye stickles and the flowers with stardust. The flowers are a mixtre of WOC and prima. The brad, spacer and watering can charm were from Hobby House at the nec,a nd the lace is from my stash.

Challenges -
  • Stampavie - Summer
  • Zoe Bunny - Summer Days
  • Papertake Weekly - sketch
  • Everybody Art - Sketch
  • Simon Says - dotty
  • Cute Card Thursday - text
  • Wild Orchard Crafts - lace

Clean and Simple Wags and Whiskers

I decided to make a clean and simple card for Henry's best friend Tali for Christmas, she will just be 3 when christmas comes and so I did not want too much on the card she could pull off and chock on. The flowers are sellotaped down on the back of the card for this reason. The paper is a new pack of Basic Grey (well for me) called eskimo kisses. It is a slightly different pallett to the usual christmas papers I use and so is excellent for a girly card. I have coloured the image in using copics and added a touch of candy floss stickles to the cats hat and the top of the stocking. I have faux stitched the papers slightly edged in metalic pink ink. The lace has a white sparkle to it and the flowers are WOC I hope you like.

challenges -
  • my time to craft - check it out
  • simon says - sketch
  • wags and whiskers - stitching
  • basic grey - stitchin
  • allsorts - card for a child.
hugs xx

Challenge 1 - Pixie and Fairy Dust - Magical Mondays

It is our first challenge on Magical Mondays and we are lucky to be sponsored by Pollycraft whom are giving 6 stamps to the winner. The theme is Pixie and Fairy dust so with this in mind I choose this gorgeous sweetpea image and coloured her in copics, then adding glittering H2O primrose over the top and the mermaid tail to add extra sparkle. The papers are Basic Grey Wisteria and I have punched out the little butterfly (also glittered and pearled) and stamped an sentiment in gold. The swirls are a punch I got from the nec in november sorry I can't remember the make.

Pleasedo come and support us x

entering in the following challenges -
  • Sweetpea stampers - Anything goes
  • Stampsomething - Flowers

Sarah Kay - Little Shepherd in blue

My darling husband took the boys to the park so I could get into the craft room. Unfortunately they came back after 20 minutes as it was pouring with rain but he kept them entertained playing cars downstairs so that I could make this to show you. The image is Sarah Kay coloured in distressed inks, isn't he so cute, reminds me of my two boys. The paper I think is Dovecrafts, there are just a few loose sheets in my Christmas draw, and so it counts as forgotten stash.

Challenges -
  • Sketch and stash - new stamp, old papers
  • Everybody Art - blue and white
  • papertake weekly - cutest creations
  • cute card thursday - headstart for xmas
  • totally papercrafts - 1 image, 1 ribbon, 2 papers, 3 embellishements (flowers, pearls, bow)
I hope you like it x
