The theme this week is stitching, so I have faux stitched this piece of laura ashley paper and then threading ribbon through eyelets to look like large stitches. The image is WOJ kindly rakked to me by Cathy, coloured in distressed inks. Pearls and flowers and a charm complete the card. i hope you like and do come and see the rest of my teams work, remember you can purchase the pearls and distressed inks from the Secret Crafter Shop x

Sarah Kay in Muted Tones

This card is for a number of challenges -
  • Sketch and Stash - Sketch my neglected stash is these Laura Ashley Papers and the stamp has not been used in a while, the new are the gems.
  • Simon Says - 2 papers, 3 embellishments and 1 image - ok I have used 3 types of embellishment, ribbon, flowers and gems - hope this counts.
  • Spoonful of Sugar - Distressing, flowers and pearls, I hope the gems are ok as the DT have used gems instead.

I mixed my distressed inks colours to get the correct shades that I wanted to colour this Sarah Kay image. The top sheet of paper has been dipped into sparkle gold glue. The gems I have glued echoing the curve of the image, and hidden a few in what is becoming my tademark bouquet of flowers. No charm this time as I don't have any gold ones.

I hope you like

February 21, 2010 - Copied from Lacey's blog

Card Drive with candy!!
Would you like to win a $20.00 Gift Certificate to my store Stamp and Create?

My good friend Terry has asked me if I could help her collect 100 cards for her Aunt's 100th Birthday!! Her birthday is on April 4th (Easter Sunday).
Wouldn't that be such a great way to celebrate such a wonderful birthday?!
Oh, the things she has seen in her 100 years! Can you imagine growing up without TV's, computers, or cars!! She learned how to drive when she was 12 on a Model T Ford! She was married during the depression.
Margaret recently fell a few months ago, so she is having a little harder time getting around. But that hasn't stopped her from doing the dishes every night!! She is almost 100% self sufficient. That's what I want to be like if I live to my 100th birthday!!
Anyway, if you would like to send Margaret a card, please email me at
LaceySoLiving@bellsouth.net and I will give you her address. She lives with my friend Terry, so Terry will keep track of all of the cards that are received by Saturday, April 3rd.
I will post the winner of the gift certificate on Monday, April 5th.
If you would be willing to post this on your blog, it would be greatly appreciated!!
Let's help Margaret have the best 100th birthday ever!!!

Last Guest Design Team card for Secret Crafter

This weeks theme was choosen by Debby and the theme is Mother's day. As you know I sadly lost my own Mum 5 years ago on the 27th May 2005, and so I don't tend to make mother's day cards, but my sister asked me to make one for her daughter (she is only 4 months and gorgeous) to send to her husbands mother. So here it is. The papers are MME Bloom and Grow, pearls and flowers adore the card and the image is WOJ coloured in distressed inks. I have added swirls in clear embossing and then distressed the edge of the papers, I think it gives an interesting effect.
Please check out all the other design team members work, the link to the challenge is as always on my sidebar.

Blog Hopping

Just a note to let Clare, Jane, Vanessa and Becky know that I have visited your blogs lots but for some reason when I click to bring the box up to leave a comment it keeps freezing my computer. I really appreciate your comments I don't want you to think I don't visit.

ABC DT CARD O is for One Paper

I don't know what has happened to my blogger in the last few days, but all posts etc seem to have gone weird. Here is my ABC Card for this challenge. It is an easel card for a pearl anniversary I have been asked to make. The paper is pearlised and there is pearls on the corners of the image and also on the sentiment panel, which is to be filled in by the person whom asked me to make the card. The pins are the new WOJ as are the images, coloured in distressed inks, flowers of course wild orchard crafts.

Do check out the other teams entries, and our guest designer Ruby. Wendy from Secret Crafter is offering a wonderful prize this week, and remember the cracked glass challenge is still open, not many entries so there is currently a 1 in 3 chance of winning a prize.

Tilda in Orange

Please excuse the photo the light today is appauling, I will try and get a new one done tomorrow.

This card was made for the Magnolia Down Under, which is a sketch, a theme of orange and has to be girlie. I thought these papers from MME (which you can get from the Secret Crafter) and they are perfect for this theme. I have coloured Tilda in with copic and the flowers have been embossed with a new cutterbug daisy folder. The flowers are Wild Orchard Crafts.

I hope you like it
