Guest Design Card - Secret Crafter

I was over joyed when Wendy and Jane from Secret Crafter asked me to guest design for 4 weeks following my entry into their design team competition a while back. Here is my first card that I have made for the challenge.
Tilda is coloured in using copics, cut out using nesties and mounted onto basic grey two scoops, then pearls have been added to the corners. Finally a bouquet of flowers have been added tied with ribbon to the front. The sentiment is by hero arts.

Whiff of Joy Design Team Call Entry Card

Katharina has announced a new guest design team call on her blog. She is looking for1-3 people with excellent colouration skills. Full details can be found here along with the sketch you need to use for your card.
Here is my entry. I have used Willow with small baby for my card, coloured in distressed inks and H2O's. I did not have the shade of H2O I required for the dress so I mixed Weathered Wood distressed ink with my glimmer mist hydranger (used on the white flowers) to give a sparkle. My papers are a mixture of K and Co Life's journey and Laura Ashley flocked blues. They have been distressed with vintage photo and tea dye, as have the ribbon and lace from my stash. I have distressed my luggage tags from Tim Holtz and added those instead of a sentiment. The flowers are wildorchardcrafts.
I do hope you like

Two new Magnolia Cards

Good evening everyone, hope you are ok and have survived all the snow, it is just yucky slush here and the school run a pushchair was not fun!
Here is my first card. The image was a rak of Jane which I have had for ages as I did not want to colour her as she is so beautiful but I plucked up the courage too and I think I did her proud. She has been coloured in distressed inks and sparkles added to her wings. I have distressed the papers from K and Co's life journey script pad and added tea dye distressed inks to the edges. The lace is from my stash and the flowers are wildorchardcrafts which I have tied with a bit of faded frayed ribbon. I am so pleased with the way it looks I may keep it for myself! The sentiment is heroarts.
Challenges entered for -
  • Simon Says Shabby Chic - and I will be brave and add it to their DT Call
  • Magnolia Down Under - another use for a stamp this was a winter kit.
  • Roses on Paper winter - the stamp is a winter kit stamp (abit vague I know will try and do another card to fit this)
  • Just Magnolia - Thank you.

On to my second card I have to show you. Yummy pink bobunny papers and the grey is gorgeous and from Laura Ashley. Tilda has been coloured in copics and cut with my new nesties 8 which were a Christmas present. A simple bow has been added with my usual roses. A simple birthday card as the person it is intended to doesn't do fussy!

Challenges entered for -

  • Charisma - anything new - new papers and nesties
  • Cute Card Thursday - pink and grey
  • Dutch Dare - sketch
  • Magnolia Down Under - another use for the image - it is a christmas image used as a birthday card.

I hope you have enjoyed my cards

ABC L is for ....

Layering!

I chose to use one paper Laura Asley and layer it up, I have also decoupaged the image, which has been coloured in using my beloved copics. The flowers have had antique lace added to them and they are the new carnations from Wildorchardcrafts which match the flowers on the paper. The lace is from stash. I hope you like it, do check the other girls cards out and remember we are lucky that Lacey (whom is a star) is sponsoring us again.

New Tilda Card and a Sarah Kay Card

This first cards was made using basic grey wisteria pad and watercolouring the Sarah Kay image. I used the sketch from Create for Fun this week and just added beads instead of sentiment. It is intended for a friend whom is expecting her fourth child in the next few weeks, one scan said a girl and the other said it maybe a boy, so decided not to put the sentiment on just incase it turns into a boy. She doesn't do pink so I thought purple would be a nice alternative and as it being her fourth she has had lots of mother and baby cards in the past. As it is for a baby I am entering it into the New Beginnings challenge over on Secret Crafter this week. The flowers are wild orchard craft which have been dusted in stickles frosted lace. I have been doing this to my flowers for months now and I prefer the result to glimmer mist for winter cards.
My second card to show you I have used one of the new tilda images from the winter pack. I must admit I am not very happy with the kit this time, the sentiments and the accessories are nice, but the actual stamps are a real mismatch and I don't like tilda in heels, I am worried they are trying to turn her into Anya (a character I am sorry I just don't like). Coloured in with copics and mounted on a basic grey pad, think it is two scoops (pad upstairs and I am downstairs - sorry), Flowers as per above. I have used my new folder that Samantha managed to get hold of for me, thanks hun and so it qualifies for the Something New Challenge on Stamp Something. The Sketch is the Allsorts new or old Challenge, which fits lovely too and finally the Basic Grey, Cream, pink and blue, of which all are featured in the papers.

Hope all are ok, hope to be back to catch up with my blogging soon.

Hugs

Vicky x
