Buzzzzzz

Over at Cute Card Thursday the theme is buzz - yellow and black so I made this adorable card using the sketch from friday sketchers.

I hope you like it.

copics used - e50.e00.e51.y21.yr31.g21.gy63.g94

Here is the missing card!

This is take 2 for the ABC Challenge of E is for Embossing as the first one was helpfully coloured with red shoes by my 3 year old before I managed to photograph it!

I hope you like it, an Elizabeth Bell image for Sugar Nellie coloured in copics with last years Xmas papers (sorry it was a loose sheet, I think it may have been dovecraft) and the white circle embossed using my snowflake folder.

Have I been missed?

We have had no internet supply for nearly a week due to the modem breaking and it has also been my youngest son's 2nd birthday.
Thank you to Jacqui and Georgia for the candy they sent, sorry I have not been able to email you and I am late sending codes to all the ABC top 5 people. I will do this in the next few days.

This first card is a beautiful house mouse stamped image from Jennifer. I have followed the papertake weekly sketch challenge using papers from K and Co and coloured the image in using copics. I have kept it clean and simple as it is perfect for a male card.

challenges - Papertake weekly - sketch, Saturday secret crafter - animals

This is an image I had coloured before knowing what the challenges would be, in copics and I have matched her with basic grey sugared paper and followed the sketch on a spoonful of sugar.

challenges - Spoonful of Sugar - sketch

This final card is a decoupage image of tilda with lollipop from my friend Jayne. I have coloured her in using copics (bg10.g000.g00.e21.e50.e00.e51.e08.e33.e35.e57) and the charm was a rak of Heidi. The papers are new and are a 12x12 sheet of cosmic cricket. Which I adore.

challenges - sketch and stash, dutch dare - charms

I promise to catch up with everyone soon and bear with me while I catch up with challenges.

Tilda Cooking

Hi Everyone
Sorry I have been a bad blogger of late. I had set aside yesterday to do a major catch up, but then a close friend called me at 5.10am that her daughter was seriously ill and was being blue lighted to Birmingham Children's Hospital for emergency brain surgery. Her husband needed to sort out their elder daughter, so I got dressed and went to spend the day with her on the ward and while her daughter was in theatre. So I will try and get round you all whom comment in the next day or two, so watch out for lots of comments at once!

This card I wanted to keep simple, I was not in the mood today for making it too complecated and really loved this sketch Bev designed for Just Magnolia. I have combined it with a few challenges -

* Just Magnolia - Sketch
* Saturday Secret Crafter - for the girls (it is pink)
* Papertake weekly - faking it - faux stitched and lace doily martha stewart punch used
* Stamp something - favourite papers - basic grey - lily kate
* Stampavie and more - pink

I do hope you like it, coloured with copics, sorry did not note the numbers down.

I also hope everyone is well.

hugs Vicky xxx

Lavenders Blue dilly dally, Lavenders Green.....

This is my entry for three challenges

*Spoonful of Sugar - Autumn - stamp is from WOJ Autumn collection
*Dutch Dare - Colour inspiration
*Charisma Cards - Flowers

Willow has been coloured in using copics and added to K and Co, DCWV papers. The roses have been drenches in glimmer mist (ivory) and added. I did not add leaves as it would have been too much I like the just flowers effect on the card.

I am also entering it on Katharina's call to show I can do the same image well in different mediums and as so many of you have been complementing my colouring and that is what she is looking for this time.
**********************************************************************************

This is a little bag I made with some lush soap in for a friend. I have used one of my favourite old tilda stamps and coloured her in using copics. As it is not a card it qualiifes for Magnolia down under challenge.

Vintage Autumn Shades of Whiff of Joy

I hope I am not too late for this as the card has been half made on my desk nearly all week as Henry is not well at all he is all clingy, snotty and crying and is on my lap now. He has also been sick a few times, so sorry this is not upto my usual standards and I have not managed to get around everyone's blogs of late.

The image is WOJ from the new Autumn kit a rak of Jayne. It has been coloured with distressed inks and the papers which are K and Co have been distressed too. I am entering it for the friday sketchers competition as I have used their sketch although I have rotated it 90 degrees.

I hope you like, off to trawl through my papers for pink, as all the challenges today seem to be shades of pink!

I love my husband

Here is a picture of him and I on our wedding day over 8 years ago now!

He has just surprised me by asking what I would like for my birthday and I answered some copics so he has brought me, get this, copic ciao's set A of 72 and set B of 72!!!! He said I could fill in the gaps I needed individually with the sketch as the colours are the same.

I am bouncing of the walls :-)

ABC D is for Diecuts

This week on ABC the theme is die cuts. I have used my nesties to cut out my neglected postbox by Sugar Nellie. I have used my K and Co papers and tried to create a vintage feel to the piece. Distressed inks have been used in browns to help the antique feel.

I hope you like it, do check out the other design teams work.

autumn days

This is for two challenges.

* Whiff of Joy -Sketch
* Spoonful of Sugar - distressing

The papers are a mixture of basic grey and K and Co. All have been faux stitched as I am still not up straight in my craft room yet. I have distressed the papers and antiqued them using tea dye. I have also painted the dress to look distressed too, and I think it works fab.

I hope you like it.

Tilda, pretty in pink

This card was made for the following 4 challenges. Please excuse the picture quality but needed to meet a deadline, will take a better picture in daylight tomorrow.

*Charisma Cards - curls and swirls - backing paper put through my cutterbug swirls folder
*Just Magnolia - sketch
*Secret Crafter - Flights of fancy - the dragonfly brad
*Passion for promarkers - girly and glittery - it is pink and lots of glimmer mist on those flowers!

I have used a tilda from the new Autumn set - isn't she adorable! I think she is my favourite in the set and I had to ink her up immediately. I have coloured her in promarkers, have been practicing my shading, unfortunately the light in my new craft room is no good for photo's. Paul has go me some daylight bulbs to switch over tomorrow for the main light and the desk light so hopefully i can replace it with a better photo tomorrow. Fantastic sketch on Just Magnolia adored doing it. The papers are basic grey Eva, lovely and girly. I hope you like it.

eta new picture uploaded

I thought you would like to see a picture of my craft room which used to be the nursery (hence the winnie the pooh stikers on the wall. This is my side, work still in progress but it is my space! My papers are in a large box on the changing chest of draws and I have a stacking tower of stamps on there. We have left some of the furniture in as Edward and Henry may need seperate rooms when older but until then Paul and I have a craft/wargame figure painting room. The bliss of being able to leave things out to dry and play with!
