Spoonful of Sugar - Card for preschooler

This is a simple card I made for one of Edward's friends whom is 4 this week. I have kept it simple as it is for a boy and also children like to play with their cards so too much embellishments I feel are a waste. The image is Maggie and Hamish playing on the rocks which was a RAK from Cathy I think. It has been watercoloured in and then mounted on paper from my stash, sorry I have not got a clue who made it. I have doodled around the border stars and dashes and then added 2 gem stars. I really like it, I hope you do x

ABC X is for X on the card somewhere

I did this card before christmas for the challenge as my Nan had a bad fall and it was only after I received a card from Cathy I realised not only had we used the same stamp for this challenge but also pink! The flowers are from prima, large peach set and I have added pink gems to the centre. Image is of course Sarah Kay, my sweet Lili, which has been watercoloured, then mounted and cut using nesties. The ribbon is stash and crosses behind the image and the paper is from Laura Ashley.
I hope that you like it and will join us this week.

Saturday Crafter

This is a card I have done for saturday crafter but I am not sure it qualifies as the hearts are only scribbled borders. The image is Sarah Kay which has been watercoloured, then cut with a fiskars and the scallopped edge was done for me by Cathy using her nesties. The paper was a rak as were the gems in the corner. The flowers are prima. I hope you like it.
Bev thank you for the award which I have passed on in an earlier post x

ATC's for Becky And Tilda ATC Challenge

These ATC's (along with some others) have been made for Becky's swap. The Tilda one I am entering for the Tilda and Co Atc challenge which is peel offs as there are little peel off flowers on the ATC. I hope you like these.
Images - Pennyblack, Magnolia and Sarah Kay.
Papers - card stock and DCWV Spring matstack
Peeloffs - stash
Flowers - Prima

Magnolia v Stampavie - bows

The Magnolia v Stampavie is a challenge I have not done since the two blogs merged and I don't know why. This lovely Sarah Kay image has been coloured with waterpencils and mounted onto 2 layers of card both fauxed stitched -a dark green and a pink. I have used a sheet of Basic Grey sugared as backing and a piece of antique lace. There are 3 ribbons tied on the card and I have finished it off with a prima hydranga flower.
I hope you like it x

Sugar Bowl Challenge 2

This is my card for the Sugar Bowl Challenge. I hope you can see the card ok in these pictures it was taken in daylight, but it has been quite dark here today. It is a trifold card that I have made. I have choosen 3 images from the Elizabeth Bell range of Sugar Nellies. I have then layered them at different heights through out the card, suspended on ribbon. The card has been faux stitched on the elements.
The image on the front is a stamped image from Jayne. It has been coloured in using watercoloured pencils and twinkling H2o's. I have used the same colours through out the 3 images. The flowers are prima (got flowers large peach) and I have added a pink gem to the centre. The papers are basic pink card stock, 2 sheets from Basic Grey Urban Prairie range and the main grey flowered I won in Nessy's blog Candy so I am sorry but I don't know the name. I have dangled the image using a grey ribbon. The brown flecked sheet of paper I ran through the cuttlebug on the birds and swirls folder and distressed it but for somereason it is hard to see - will take another photo tomorrow to try and show it.
The middle image is Daisy, coloured the same as Rope Swing. I have also added a pink oval with the words happy birthday on this side of the card.
On the final side is Strawberry Tea.
I hope you like this card of threes.

Three in one card - Friday Sketchers, Spoonful of Sugar and Whiff of Joy

I don't normally do this but my crafting time is so limited at the moment that I have had to. This card is for the following challenges
  • Friday Sketchers - sketch
  • Spoonful of sugar - paper piercing
  • Whiff of joy - purple and green

The image is Whiff of Joy Willow with Lantern. I think I am jinxed with this image as I have not produced a card with it that I am truely happy with as yet. The green paper is Basic Grey from the Eurporia set. The card stock is stash as is the ribbon. I have distressed the edges of my papers using green and purple inks. The gems were a RAK and the image is finished in promarkers. Sorry not a fantastic card this week :-(

Winter Blues - Cheer a friend up - CLOSED

Ok I have been speaking to a few friends and everyone seems down so I am going to start a pass it forward off. As I am the first I plan to send to 3 people but you will each only need to send to 1. The rules are such.

  1. It needs to be sent to a blogging friend who is down to cheer them up.
  2. The package needs to contain everything to make a card ie, an image cropped, backing paper cut to mount, papers, ribbon, flowers etc what ever you like.
  3. The person then makes the card using this and sends it with a simular package to one of their friends whom is a little down etc
  4. You add a picture of your card to your blog once made.

If you are interested please sign up after this message and I will randomly select one person to get a package. One will be sent to Jane who is down and one to Cathy as well.

hugs all xxx

ABC - W is for wallet card.

This card was created for my friend Jayne's birthday. The paper is from the Basic Grey Cupcake pack and I have just used the one sheet rather than layer it as I thought it was too pretty to cover up. The image is a Sarah Kay one sent to me by Lynsey which is fantastic to colour and I have used watercolour pencils to create the effect. I have cut out the image using the label set from nestability and have created a seperate piece using cream card which I then ran through the cuttlebug on the happy birthday folder that I recieved as a christmas present of Cathy (along with a gorgeous journal). I have repeated the patten on the inside to create the folder using sticky pads in order to put images behind. The flower is prima from the new artful collage range, i think it is antique. The ribbon is stash, brads are prima.

My Big Boy turns 3 in a few weeks - stamp help!

Can you believe my elder son turns 3 on the 3rd of March. He was born 10 weeks early and weighed 3lb 9ozs. This is his first ever photo, and the other is shown to show you how tiny he was! He will also start nursery on his birthday (fingers crossed) and will have a little uniform. I expect I will cry lots.
Now for your help. He loves Dragons and Dinosaurs and I was wondering if anyone had a stamp of either of these that they would not mind me having an image of - happy to cover your postage etc, to save me buying one. I was made redundant last year and money is abit tight at the moment. If you can help please email me here. thanks xxx

Lili of the Valley - Anything Goes

Ok I took the title as it stated and experimented and this is what I came up with and in a weird sort of way it works. I used my Cutterbee Bug to mark 5mm holes and then joined them up at opposites with a green marker pen to create a frame for the image, which was a rak of Jane I think. The flowers are prima and the brads making memories. The paper was from the bottom of my stash and the image cut out using Nesties. The sentiment is a peel off from stash.
Would be interested to see what people think.

Dutch Dare Triangles

Here is my triangles card for this weeks Dutchdare Challenge. I have used up an old papermania piece of paper and split it into 3 triangles. The image is Sarah Kay, watercoloured in and I have added hand swirls to the card rather than faux stitching it. The flowers are prima and I have added a little pearl to the centre of each. I hope that you like it x

Whiff of Joy Challenge - Sketch 13

Hi everyone, I have managed to do a Whiff of Joy Challenge, not managed to do one of these in a long time due to circumstances. This lovely image was a RAK of Cathy and has been coloured in using watercoloured pencils. I have mounted the image on blue card stock and used paper from Basic Grey's Lily Kate pad to highlight the image. The scalloping I have ised lace from my stash and the ribbon I think is papermania not sure as I found it in the bottom of my ribbon box. The flowers are the new prima hydranger range this pack was wild rose. I have hand scribbled a border on the paper and hand written the sentiment. I hope you like it.

ABC V is for Violet

Wow we are back with a vengence with the ABC Challenge. Still looking for sponsors but with the credit crunch, I think it will be unlikely that we will get any, so I hope people just enjoy the challenges for fun and the small gifts that the design team are able to offer.
This is one of my new stamps, it is the Sarah Kay, Apple pie. I have coloured her in using watercolour pencils and twinkling H2o's. The paper is K and Co and the lace, flowers and backing card are from my stash. The image has been cut out using my new nesties that my Nan brought me for Christmas, just need to save up to buy more of them as they are so fantastic.
I hope you like it and join us this week over on ABC.

Sugar Bowl Challenge 1

Well this is my entrance piece for the new blog delicated to the wonderful stamps from the Sugar Nellie factory. Unfortunately the lighting makes the card look awful but it is much better in real life as Jayne will tell you as it was for her daughter Seren's 4th birthday party yeaterday. I have fauxed stitched all the elements in the sketch. The papers are K and Co and the blue is from stash which I have put through the cuttlebug using my birds and swirls folder which I used different ways for the different pieces. The flowers are part of my christmas present off the boys are the winter primas. It is good to be back.
eta it won't let me add this to the comments on the site - if anyone could help please let me know
