ABC D is for Diecuts

This week on ABC the theme is die cuts. I have used my nesties to cut out my neglected postbox by Sugar Nellie. I have used my K and Co papers and tried to create a vintage feel to the piece. Distressed inks have been used in browns to help the antique feel.

I hope you like it, do check out the other design teams work.

Sketch and Stash

OMG you would not believe how bad the light is today - this was taken in daylight - eek, have taken a small under electric light but the congratulations sentiment in gold metalic has not shown up. Ok what is new - the ribbon is from American Boutiques and is yummy and the flowers from Blooms go Belle (which was a birthday gift of Lyndsey). The image is Sugar Nellie Postbox and the papers are K and Co Life Journey - I hope that you like it x

Spoonful of Sugar - Sketch

I am not sure that this card has really worked. This is why I am only showing a small version of it. Let me know what you think and I may enter it. I think that the image is too big for the sketch.

Whiff of Joy Designer Call

I have decided to have another try at a guest designer spot on a Whiff of Joy as I just adore their stamps so much! This is my entry. I have used sketch 24 of Katharina's and have just moved the oval to off centre to balance the quote (the defination of inspiration, ideal for a DT challenge card, I thought) and to allow me to add a bow. The papers have been fauxed stitched and the image has been distressed around the outside as I did not like the effect that a border had, it took away from showing that the paper backing it is actually flowers and letters and postcards which match the image.

I have really enjoyed making this card, and I used only the girl from the Sugar Nellie (Elizabeth Bell - Postbox) as I have used the postbox on the envelope instead. I think it works brilliantly, I hope that you do too.
