I was honored today to receive an eamil from dotcomgiftshop to say I had made their top 101 blogs - thank you so much xxx

My daily recommend. This is a new feature where I want to share with you some wonderful blogs that I have found hopping. I think that now we rely on blogrolls we tend to miss talent out there that other people recommended. So from now on, on each post I will be recommending someone for you to visit and I hope that you will all adopt this too.

Today it is Angie from Potter's Paper Paradise. I just love her work with sweetpea stamps.

Secret Crafter DT Card - Strwaberries and Cream

I was luck enough to choose the theme this week on Secret Crafter and I choose Strawberries and cream as it is wimbledon fortnight. Instead of choosing an image that depicted a strawberry I thought I would use the colour scheme to highlight products that can be brought from Secret Crafter. The papers are a mix of basic grey papers from different packs and I have coloured the Sarah Kay image in distressed inks. I do hope that you like it and will join us this week x

I have used one of my favourite Basic Grey Pads called infuse for the papers aren't they just gorgeous? The image of course coloured in copics.

ABC Design Team Card X is for Xtra Dimension

Hiya

We are at X in the alphabet can you believe it! We are looking for an extra dimension to your card. I have decided to make a pull out card. The three images are sweetpea, I need to learn all their names! They have been coloured in copics. The papers are basic grey Mellow, I am so so upset that this pad has been disontinued as it is lush, if you ever find any please buy it for me. I kept the embellishments to simple pearls in each corner and three on the main card and faux stitched it. I hope you like.

challenges -
Basic Grey - Brown, turquois and cream
sweetpea stampers - faux stitching

Stamping for the weekend - guest dt card

There is a beautiful sketch over on Stamping for the Weekend which my ABC Pals Sandie and Jan run. I was asked to guest designthis week and here is my card. I have used one of my new sweetpea stamps and coloured her in copics and mounted her onto Laura Ashley creamy yellow and blue paper, which unfortunately does not show well in this light. The flowers are wild orchard crafts - just noticed the sentiment looks wonky eek!!!!

ABC Design team card W is for Weather

This is the card I made my husband for his birthday! The tag reads rain or shine i will always love you. I have coloured the hanglar image (rak of Heidi) in distressed inks and added gloss glaze to make it look wet. The papers are a mixture of basic grey.

I was hoping to announce a new dt position I was invited to join but I have got back from holiday to receive an email saying they no longer want me, they have changed their minds which hurts as I had just brought more stamps to be able to join them. I have also had more nasty annonymous comments. I am very unhappy about all this, I am certain that there is someone out there making trouble for me and I am not impressed with their behaviour. I am therefore leaving comment moderation on for the forseeable future.

Stamping for the weekend - guest dt card

The wonderful Jan and Sandie asked me to guest design for them, how could I say no! Here is the card that I created for them on the theme of Summer and travel. I choose to make a scene showing two girls out collecting flowers on a summers day. The stamps are of course magnolia and have been coloured in distressed inks and flower soft added tot he bouquets of lilacs. I do hope you like and join in their challenge.

One Sweetpea card and two cards by my little drummer boys

This first card is by me, lol! I have used copics to colour in my sweetpea image then used the last sheet (sob) of the Eva pad, I love this pasley pattern. The flowers are prima and the brads and spacer are from hobby house. I followed the sketch on lili of the valley so I am entering it for that and also totally gorjuss which is wings.
This is the card Henry made for Daddy. All I did was cut the backing paper. The image was a rak ages ago from Samantha at Penrith crafts. Coloured in watercolour pencils without the water and then he was going to add glitterglue but the tops came off so he wiped it all over the paper lol. The buttons then did not need to be glued on individually!!! He even turned the handle on the cuttlebug not bad for a 2 year old. He is entering it into Simon Says male card.
This is Edwards card. He choose the sheet of Bobunny paper himself from Hobbycraft and then choose the image going through all my magnolia stamps. He is coloured in red as red is Ed's favourite colour, even the glue to stick the buttons on is my red glitterglue not that you can tell!!! I only stamped the image and cut the backing paper the rest he did himself (I don't want to let a just 4 year old loose with my guilotine, didn't think husband would like to spend his birthday in casulty.) He wants to enter it into Just Magnolia bright colours and Simon Says challenges.

Thank you to anyone whom leaves comments for them, they do check and make me continually read them to them!!!
