Ok now you can see why I was asking so many questions about scrink plastic last week! This is my final week as guest designer over on sweetpea stampers and I have adored my time on this challenge. I have fallen in love with these stamps and my husband has ordered me some more from America for our 9th wedding anniversary next month so you will be seeing an awful lot more. The card showcases three stamps with the theme of fairy dust. I have choosen a k and co loose sheet of paper from the margo pack which is covered in green shinny glitter. I have used my cutterbug to cut 3 apperatures out of the paper and the green card stock. The larger centre hole has had an image stuck behind it on foam pads to add some depth. The image has been coloured in copics, sakura pens and twinkling H2O's. The two smaller ovals both contain shrink plastic windows of two other fairy stamps from sweet pea. The flowers are WOC which have been drenched in glimmermist pearl and have tim holtz cotton candy stickles added to the tops of the petals. I only used one sheet of paper as I did not want to distract from the 'windows' details.
I hope that you like it x

Sweetpea - Soth Goth Night - Distressed
I have been so busy making design team cards as my husband is on holiday for two weeks and we are off on holiday so I have tried to get all the cards done and set as scheduled, so fingers crossed they all post. I decided to make a card for a few challenges. I have not distressed in ages so I thought that would be a nice place to start. The image was a rak of Cathy and has been coloured in distressed inks. The papers are a K and Co buttons pack and the punch used is martha stewart. Flowers are WOc. I hope you like and do check back tomorrow for a sneak preview of a new stamp from Secret Crafter.

Sarah Kay in Orange!
This card ahs been made for my husbands Uncle whom is a massive Wolves fan, hence the old gold(orange) and black hues to the card. I have coloured this Sarah Kay image in distressed inks (he reminds me so much of my eldest son Edward). I mixed my colours together to get the bronze I wanted for the dungarees, I am very pleased with the effect and I have tried to create a shadow behind him and the dog, has it worked? The papers are Basic Grey Ambrosia pad, i had forgotten I had these but came across them while paper hunting and thought that they would work brilliantly for a male card. I edged the papers in black soot distressed inks as I wanted definition but without being too bulky. Finally a punch swirl in the corner and tiny pearls as you can't put flowers on a male card and I thought it needed an accent.

Secret Crafter DT Card
I hope this posts as it is scheduled as I am full of a rotten summer cold - well that explains all the splitting headaches that I have been suffering from this week! The theme on this week is Secret CrafterSomething Metal. I have used this gorgeous Tilda she is a favourite of mine and coloured her in distressed inks which can be brought from the Secret Crafter shop. The papers are a basic grey pad aslo available from Secret Crafter. I have added some prima hydrangas and added a metal flower head to them for a change from a brad or a rose and from one of them have hung this adorable teddybear charm. The image has sticles around it (also available for Secret Crafter) as a change from distressing the edges with ink. A few little pearls highlight the corner. The lace has a thread of glitter running through it I could not resist it!
Please do check out the rest of the design teams creations and join us this week and nip over to wish Wendy get well soon after breaking her leg earlier this week.

Sweetpea box
This is the box that I made for ABC Design Team which is unused stash this week. The paper is a brown sheet of BoBunny which has been faux stitched in silver pen. Unfortunately it is so dark here today that even under a daylight bulb all of the work is not showing up. I have taken pictures of the boys holding the box (they both wanted to be photographed) to give you an idea of the size of it. The flowers used are wild orchard crafts and have been glitter sprayed. The fern punch is my stash and the images have been coloured in green and pink and brown and skin tone copics and I have distressed the edges of the images with distressed ink tea dye. The box covers a coffee box which I intend to give to my Nan. The flowers I have kept simple and in the same arrangement on the sides as I don't want the sides to be too heavy and have concerntrated the blooms on the top of the box all flowers have been glimmermisted in pearl and then have add sprinkles of diamond dust added. On the two larger sides and on the top I have followed some sketche challenges and the pearls used on these are from the hobby house and the brown ribbon is stash. I promise to try and get some better pictures outside if it is not raining tomorrow.

Sweetpea in green
This is a card I worked on last night, and unfortunately the glitter details aren't showing due to the bad light today, is it yucky and grey by you?
I have coloured the image in with copics, and glitter pen (not that you can see that shading over the top). The papers have been distressed and I have fauxed sewed in the pen too, it loks fab in the flesh. I hope you like it x

Magnolia - Parcel Tilda in Pink
This gorgeous image was a rak of Cathy. I have coloured her in distressed inks and mounted onto an old Eva Basic Grey Pad. The flowers are WOC of course! I am desperately trying to use all my stash of papers up as I am not allowed to buy anymore until they are all gone. My papers are low and my flowers even lower, help I need to win the lottery I think!

*Magnolia Down Under
*Totally papercraft.
Should I enter them or not? Any ideas on how to rescue them are gratefully received otherwise they will go to the great filing cabinet in the sky!

Two Sweetpea Cards - One Aqua, one Lime Green
This first card was a challenge set by my lovely friend Cathy. I gave her the colour pink, ok not her favourite colour but I got lime green! I decided to use distressed inks to colour her and basically blended all my greens until I go the right shading. I thought she looked very wood nymph so I distressed tea dye in the background and added a leaf charm. The papers are Basic Grey Origins, which have been distressed and torn.

This was a trial I decided to see what she would look like with blue skin to reflect the pael light of the moon and the sea. I actually think that it has come out very well, although due to the light this morning you can not see the twinkle of the moon which was painted in H2O's and also the stickles which I have dotted to make waves and on the stars and round the image. I punched out the waves with a martha stewart flourish punch and used my wave inspired lace with a little anchor charm attached. I did not want to loose too much of the backing paper which is DCWV Once upon a time mermaid sheet as she looks as if she is leaping out of the waves.

DT Card Secret Crafter
Helen has choosen the theme this week on Saturday Secret Crafter of Buttons and Blooms. I have used one of the wonderful new released Sarah kay's (in stock at Secret Crafter) and coloured her in distressed inks. The papers is Basic Grey Porcelin and the flower is from prima. I am trying to do some 'flat' cards at the moment as my sister complains of the special envelopes and higher postage costs when I use WOC so I am trying to use those for hand delievered cards and flat flowers when having to post.
Now some news
* firstly nip over to Wendy's blog for her freebie friday draw.
* secondly keep an eye out on the secret crafter blog and the design teams blogs all next week as we will be showcasing the new release of Secret Crafter Stamps. Unfortuately my set have never arrived in the post to say I am unhappy is an understatement and I have formally complained at the post office. Wendy has sent me some images so I hope to be able to join in but I did not receive these in time to particiapate fully in the blog hop, but I will be showing them throughout next week.

Sweetpea in sea green
If I told you I even took this photo outside to try and show the sparkle would you believe me. It is so dark here I am sure we are about to experience a thunder storm. I have coloured the image in distressed inks, mixing my blues and greens to give different depths. I have then gone over the mermaids tail in a light wash of Sparkling H2O's sage. The flowers were done in Sparkling H2O's as well and then I used a very light wash of one of the Sparkling H2O's to try and create the beams of light you get underwater. The lace was choosen as it was in waves and I tried to create the wave swirl with the gems. A favourite of mine and almost a signiture piece of a bouquet of blue and cram flowers to match the background papers (Basic Grey Wisteria, faux stitched and distressed in weathered wood distressed inks) and tied with a ribbon with a starfish charm.
I do hope you like it.
