Last GDT Card for WOJ Challenge - Bling

The criteria this week was bling, and as it is my last GDT spot, I hope that I have done them proud.

I adore these images both raks of my ABC Collegue Helen. They have been coloured with distressed inks and twinkling H20's. I have used lots of glitter glue and glimmer mist so that it really sparkles. The fantastic swirl as a rak of Heidi. The papers are basic grey whisteria. I do hope you like this card as I adore it.

ABC Design Team Card

I nearly did not think I was going to make it this week. The boys have played up rotten tonight (writting tueday) and with being away argh! The first attempt ended in the bin! Still not 100% happy with this oh well. Papers are K and Co and the image is WOJ coloured in twinkiling H2O's and Distressed inks.
The theme is circles and is sponsored by WOJ and Rach is a GDT Member this week. Do check out the rest of the design teams much better offerings than mine.
Remember for this week only the ABC is open for 2 weeks due to the bank holidays and the start of school.

ABC Design Team Card - B is for Buttons and WOJ Design Team Card Racheals Sketch

Hiya

Here are my design Team cards for this week.

On ABC the theme is Buttons, so I have used K and Co Buttons my life journey paper and added a button to the flower. The image is a gorgeous Sarah Kay coloured in distressed inks.

On WOJ there is a fantastic sketch by Racheal. I have decided to distress my papers and hand stitch it. The papers are My Minds Eye and K and Co. The image has been coloured with distressed inks and the roses have been glimmer mistes in cherry blossom. The sentiment is handwritten and says goodluck but it is hard to see in the photo.

I hope you like both cards.

Summer Showers Tilda

This is my card which I have made this afternoon for the following two challenges. It is gorgeous here today but I loved this image that I stamped off Jayne so I just had to use it.

The two challenges are

*Just Magnolia monthly decoupage
*Sketch and Stash - (new papers, gifted flowers and new glimmer mist and sentiment)

I have used my promarkers to colour the layers - I had to do the ones underneath as it did not feel right otherwise! I blended these as per my facial tutorial. I then used basic grey wisteria pad to follow Becky's sketch. The hydranga flowers were a rak of Heidi (thank you again hun) and the roses I used my new hydranga glimmermist on. The sentiment is a peel off I have had ages.

I hope you like x

Whiff of Joy Challenge GDT Card 2 - Pink and Brown

I really had to rack my brains on this as I don't own any pink and brown papers. Gosh I hope this means I can convince my wonderful husband I need more paper! Just need to find the nearest paper mill to me as my normal card stock for backing is very very low!
The papers I used was a silk 12x12 I had in my stash for ages and matched it with the once upon a time mat stack from DCWV. I tried to create the image that Melinda was reading a fairy tale hence the knight behind her and the written text. I madly paper pierced it then handsewed all the elements in silver thread to try and give it the feel you get from reading an old handstitched book. I then added the roses which had been glittermisted. In all it took hours and hours to create so I will be keeping it for a special friends birthday I think.
I hope you like it.

ABC A is for...

Anything goes with option of Animals.

OMG can you believe that we are starting our 3rd run of the alphabet on the challenge site?

We have a fantastic prize donated by Simon Says Stamp, so please everyone do try and enter this week and check out the design teams cards.

This is a simple card made using a housemouse stamped image from Jen one of my ABC Collegues. I have coloured in promarkers and mounted on laura ashley papers with punched flowers. I hope you like it, I think the simple layout works well.

Small Tutorial Promarker Faces

Here is a small tutorial to show you how I colour in Tilda's face with promarkers.

I first take my image.

I then colour in the whole face in ivory colouring in a swirling motion.

I then add blush to the area's I want highlighting slightly darker.

Then blend this in by going over the whole image in ivory again.

I then add dusty pink to the cheeks and then blend this in.

The finished result.

I hope you find this useful x

Tilda with blossoms

This is my entry for two challenges

*passion for promarkers - sketch
*Spoonful of Sugar - Floral

I have coloured the image in in promarkers and then used papser from the sultry basic grey pad. I have edged one in my martha steward doily punch while another has been put through by swirls cuttlbug folder. The flowers I have punched myself and added a rose to the centre before glimmermisting, and the lilacs have been flower softed. The leaves have been punched using my other new punch and added. No sentiment as yet as I am not sure whom the card if for - I hope you like it x

ABC - DT Card Z is for Zero Embellishments

A nice quick one for you today. The cat is a pennyblack from Cathy coloured in promarkers and mounted on black card stock and a sheet of Laura Ashley paper which I then used my new Martha Steward flourish punch to add a bit of depth.

Hope you will all have a go as Helen has donated a fantastic prize x

First Design Team Card for Whiff of Joy Challenges

This week on WOJ Challenges they have a beautiful sketch by the very talented Jacqui.
This is my take on it and I have also decorated the inside. It has been coloured with distressed inks and twinkling H2O's. I have then added flowersoft to the bouquet and head dress. The papers are K and Co and are so delicate and pretty. I hope you like it and will join in this challenge.

Distressed Strawberry Tilda

This card is for the following challenges

* Cute Card Thursday - fruit
* Friday Sketchers
* Just Magnolia - Distressing

I was inspired by Kim putting a sheet of paper under the top distressed rather than just using basic card stock so that I have used this idea. I have really enjoyed distressing the card, i have also distressed and hand sewed the papers. The image is from the summer tilda kit, the flowers were a rak of Cathy and the gems were a rak of Jane.

I hope you like it.
