Dutch Dare - Cathy's sketch

When I first saw the sketch I must admit I panicked, but actually once I got into it, it is a lovely sketch to follow. I have used my new stamp that is my mothers day present of one of the boys (I also got Melinda the helping angel) and I could not resist trying her out. I have watercoloured her in and mounted her using my nesties. I have doodled the edges as I thought faux stitching would not work with using stripped papers. I hope you like and have a go yourself.

ABC C is for Child's Card

This card was made for Henry to give to Edward on his 3rd birthday on tuesday. I used one of my prize H&S stampe dimages from Heidi on the card and coloured and shaded it in using promarkers. I mounted everything on red (his favourite colour) I hope that you like it and check out all the other design team members blogs.

Whiff of Joy designer call

Well I am not to sure about this at all, so putting it up and will see if I enter it or not. I have taken the picture of the card from this angel to show that Willow is raised from the backing papers. I have distressed the edges of the papers and then mounted onto green card stock to high light this fact, and with the antique lace to give an antique feel to the card. I debated faux stitiching the papers or sewing them, but felt it would detract too much hence the slight distessing. I hope you like.

ABC B is for Blue and Brown

I am so sorry putting this up late, but I am ill yet again with a bad flu and cough. The papers are from my stash, I think they were the fairy pack but I can't remember who did them. The flowers are prima, the image is watercoloured a rak of Jayne, cut with Nesties. The ric rak is stash that I did not like white on the card so I painted it with black tea! I hope you like x

Saturday Secret Crafter - Spring

Another quick card I made last night. I have a box of coloured images which I coloured ages ago and have decided where possible to use these, rather than colour a new image in. The theme of the card is spring, hence why I have choosen a lovely green card stock. The paper is from DCWV Spring matstack and I have doodled a border onto it. Tilda has been coloured in with water colours. The flowers are blooms to go and the brads, sentiment and rik rak are stash. The charm is again from mad cow beads. I hope you like it x

Basic Grey - Hearts

This is a quick card I made for the Basic Grey challenge. I used a paper sheet from the Sugared paper pad, which has been fauxed stitched. The image was a rak (sorry I can't remember who from I think it may have been Jacqui) which I have coloured in in promarkers. The ribbon is from stash as are the gems. The flowers are prima and the charm is from mad cow beads. I hope you like it x

Whiff of Joy - Recipe

It is a receipe of 3 patterned papers, 2 flowers and one brad only on WOJ this week. This gorgeous image is a RAK of Cathy. I have coloured her in using promarkers and then cut her out using my nesties and mounted onto black card stock. I have used 3 papers from the Basic Grey Ambrosia pack which is currently on my desk, time to switch for a different pack I feel now as all my cards have looked the same the past week. The flowers I have doubled up and used a single brad as the centre piece are from prima. I have doodled the edges as I enjoyed that on my last card and is a change from my favoured faux stitching. I hope that you like it. I may glitter the wings at a later date depending what I use the card for.

Spoonful of Sugar - doodles

What a lovely challenge it is on Spoonful of sugar this week. Here is my entry which is my valentine's day card for my wonderful husband. I have used a stamp that I received for christmas called hoo hoo there and coloured it in with promarkers. I cut it out using my nesties and then used the rememiments of my WOJ card from last week, for my papers - how good am I? I have doodled x's and ~'s around the edges of the papers and also handwrite the sentiment. I hope you like it.

ABC - A is for Anniversary

This is a beautiful image given to me as a RAK by Jane I think. I have used it as an Anniversary/valentine card. To match the skaters (coloured in promarkers and glitterglue) I have used papers from the pink christmas DCWV paperstack and pink basic card. The lace is from stash as is the sentiment and the snowflake. I hope you like.

Sketch and Stash

OMG you would not believe how bad the light is today - this was taken in daylight - eek, have taken a small under electric light but the congratulations sentiment in gold metalic has not shown up. Ok what is new - the ribbon is from American Boutiques and is yummy and the flowers from Blooms go Belle (which was a birthday gift of Lyndsey). The image is Sugar Nellie Postbox and the papers are K and Co Life Journey - I hope that you like it x

Whiff of Joy

Gosh I had real problems with this sketch, I just could not get the elements to balance. It is more cluttered than I would normally do in a card and you cannot see much of the beautiful papers which is a shame. I have also had to cut down the image as it was just too large. I really need to start making my own cards as 140x140mm are just too small for the images around at the moment. The papers are basic grey ambrosia set, and the flowers prima. The image is a RAK of either Becky or Cathy as both have sent me this. Lace is stash as are brads, sentiment doodled by myself. I hope you like it.

This is my DT card for ABC, I have kept it very clean and simple and everything used is from Stash so I am sorry I can't remember who what is by. The image was a RAK of Cathy.
Feeling very low and blue today so just a short post.

Dutch Dare Thank you

Sorry not a fantastic photo but the light is appauling here. Not my best card by far but at least I have made a card an improvement on things to date. The image was a rak of Cathy and the transfer papermania I think. The paper is basic grey I am not sure which pack as it was a loose sheet I found sorting out my stash. Ihope you like it x
