Tilda and Co - Dotty

I got really stuck with this after some inspiration form Cathy and Jacqui, I finally got it sussed. Tilda is coloured in watercolours and is sitting on a dotty circle. I originally had her sitting at a window wil snow falling outside but think one of Tilda and Co's design team did that a while back and I did not want to copy. The background colour is a bit too pink even for me, but it is intended for a 9 year old girls birthday so I think it will be ok!

SBS18 - Just to say

Here is my DT member card for Donna's Just to say challenge. I hope you like.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge 2 - Friendship

A cute little hedgehog stamp of two friends chatting. I have used circles again - fond of them with faux stitching at the moment. The papers are a lovely RAK from Cathy. I loved the purple and had to use straight away. Image watercolured as per normal.

Cute Card Thursday - Birthday Card

A simple card I am afraid but effective I think. I have matched the wrapping paper on Tilda's present to the backing paper used, and made the card to resemble a present by use of ribbon. I have mounted the image on pink paper and added a black border around the card. Tilda has been watercoloured as per usual x

I am still here!

Sorry I have not updated for nearly a week now. I did the race for life last wednesday night and was very pleased with myself, then we went away for the weekend and I have lost abit of my mojo too. Thank you to friends whom have sent images and papers and I hope to put some work up tomorrow if not tonight.

hugs x

Tilda and Friends ATC - A Midsummer Nights Dream

I loved this challenge - nearly went and found my A'level text - so don't be surprised if I do another one. Yeah I got to use my new stamp Tilda in Nightdress which I adore. I have coloured her in using waterpencils and H2O, in lilacs and pinks. The backing paper is dovecraft fantasy and was so apt. The grass is a bit of hologram vellum which I have had ages and was an offcut. The flowers have tiny flower brads in the centre to which I have added pink glitter.
Peaseblossom, Cobweb, Mustardseed and Moth are pictured with Tilda in the picture, the flowers are meant to represent the love in idleness which Oberon bids Puck to bring him.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge.

A new challenge blog started this week, and one of the design team is my good friend Jacqui. I did not have any Penny Black Stamps, so I brought this little one called 'Field of Dreams', and it arrived from Glitter Pot this morning. (Also in the same post Jane kindly sent me some stamped images - thank you).
The theme of the weeks challenge was - We would like to see you using your first Penny Black Stamp that you brought. You can make a card, atc, alterted art, etc.. what ever you wish but it must include your first stamp.
Well this is my first stamp. The papers are dovecraft - I tend to liek using plain backing papers for male cards - don't ask me why, but I have fauxed stitched around to give it more definition rather than using black borders. The image has been watercoloured and the message is from my sticker stock.
Hope you like it x

Tilda and Co - Serendipidy

Well I was happily making my card when Edward wanted to have a go at sticking all the little bits of paper as they do this with tissue paper I think at nursery so I let him have ago, and thought why not let him make an ATC. So I got out a prestamped image - no way am I letting him loose on my stamps, and let him colour it. Jacqui then suggested a card so I let him use the glitter glue pens to colour onto black card and then mounted it for him. I have shown an example of the ATC of baking Tilda, papers are all odds and bods, the finished card and a picture of Edward (27 months) taken on saturday.

Thank God it's friday Challenge - cats

This is for the thank god it's friday challenge this week. The sketch was inspired by a card of Janes. I have used the new simply elegent papermania papers and off set each sqaure by 3cm. The image is Lily with kitten and is watercoloured in the same colours as the backing papers.

Fathers Day Cards

Well a quick show of my fathers day cards for my Dad, DH's Dad and Grandfather. All on a fishing theme all with fish oriental paper backing and handprint inside

My first Hanglar & Stanglar - A Fathers Day card

My first attempt at a card using Hanglar & Stanglar, and image I won in Heidi's blog candy.

I have coloured him in primary colours to make him childlike. The hair seems very bright blonde but my two sons have very bright light hair and I wanted the card to match them as it a fathers card for their Daddy my husband. I have matched the colours using plain papers from Dovecrafts and the brads are from making memories. I have used craft creation sticker borders to add definition.
I designed the card myself and have kept the sketch with the dimentions if anyone would like a copy please let me know.

Tilda and friends - Bits and Pieces

The challenge this week is to use some of those bits and pieces of card and paper which we all have lying around on our desks. We would like you to make your ATC using bits and pieces which measure no more than 1" x 2" (2.5cm x 5cm) - we won't be measuring though
Well I have taken them at their word and raided my craft bin for all bits which I have stuck all over the background! I had to use the shabby chic Tilda that Jacqui sent me as a stamped RAK as she just seemed to fit beautifully! Could not tell you what the papers were or from where - sorry! Nearly added a flower on top lefthand corner, do you think it needs it?

23. Tilda and Co Challenge = Swirls

Challenge 23 - SWIRLS An easy one for you all this week , for those that are still getting over the shock from last weeks challenge!I heard you all shouting at me when you realised it was no cards!Right this week is swirls, You can do what you like aslong as it has swirls involved somehow.Of course you work must involve atleast 1 Magnolia Stamp

I had to have a go at this one as it is the first challenge when my good friend Jacqui has designed one of the example cards and I am so proud of her!

I have drawn the sketch myself and I am very chuffed with it. I have used dovecraft backing paper in a mauve, the glitter swirls in the corner are from my stock pile. I have added Dovecraft Glitter Brads (which are fab and I got from Donna at Krafty Crafts - see an earlier post) in a pale blue. The paper behind Tilda is from Papermania Venetian Tones and is swirly. I have then added further triangles in a light gold paper from my misc stock. Tilda is my new one, with bouquet, which has been waterpenciled with a H2O wash over it.

I think it looks fab x

SBS18 Challenge 4 - unusual fold and pink, red, white and black

I am so so proud of myself, it has taken all day but I have made a card from scratch! It is one of my new Lily and Milo stamps and I have watercoloured it. I have used border stickers in red and pink to accent the shape as it is a fold card. I have also done a border in red gem flowers. I think it is fab!

Unfortunately you cannot see the sparkle on the photo so will try and take another one in daylight.
