A Small Candy

I just realised my blog is two years old. To mark the occassion I have put together a stamped image for each week I have been blogging. These contain sweetpea's, magnolia, penny black, whiff of joy, sugar nellie, sarah kay and more. If you would like to be in with a chance of winning please leave a link to your blog in the comments section. I tried taking a photo but it just looked a mess! Sorry it is not more but money is really tight and I cannot afford to offer the fantastic candy that other blogs are offering.

Here is the next challenge, the above image to be used please and Basic Grey's Sugared pad, which most of us have but haven't used in ages. Secret Crafter - DT Card

This week on Secret Crafter the theme was choosen by me and it is a nice easy one of distressing. This is card mark 2 as the first I knocked coffee over just as I was about to photograph it argh, luckily Jane allowed me extra time to make another. The image of Tilda dancing is a RAK of Cathy as my Magnolia Spring Kit still has not turned up. The other image is from the new range. The flowers are a mixture of WOC and Prima edged in stickles, the lace is stash. The pearls and distressed inks have been purchased from Secret Crafter, as has the Basic Grey Porcelin pad. Do please check out the rest of the design teams cards and join us this week.

The wonderful Wendy who owns the Secret Crafter shop, whom has a massive heart of gold, sadly lost her Mum today. If you could spare a few minutes to stop by her blog and leave her a little message I know that it would mean the world to her.
Thanks x

Sweetpea - Pretty in Pink

I managed to sneak this card in last night when the boys were asleep, I wasn't sure if it would look ok in daylight but I am happy with it. The image has been coloured in distressed inks and Twinkling H2O's (the yellow on the dress). I have also mixed my black distressed ink with some glimmer mist to give a twinkling twilight background. The bo -bunny papers have been distressed and placed ontop of a magazine page which had been distressed in vintage paper distressed inks. The lace and pearls are stash and the flowers are WOC.

Secret Crafter DT Card

A simple scrapbook layout this week for me for Secret Crafter my hayfever was so bad in the middle of the week (did you notice a lack of cards) that I was not able to see properly out of the one eye they are so red and itchy at the moment. I used Tim Holtz tags and cut a train out of one using my cuttlebug die. Do check out the other teams work and nip over to Wendy's shop Secret Crafter and check out the Mollie and Jake stamps I keep showing on my blog, they are selling out fast!!!!

For my best friend

This is a little box full of images that I have made my best friend as a thank you for getting me some card that I desperately needed. The card is DCWV Once upon a time stack. I have used Princess Tilda as my image and coloured her in distressed inks. The flowers are WOC and the pearls and lace are stash. The butterflies have been punched out with my martha steward punch. The whole thing glitters like anything as Henry was allowed to spray the glimmermist all over it, I just hope it dries in time for my husband to pass it onto her husband tomorrow.

Sunny Saturday Cards

Wow it is beautiful and sunny here today. The boys are playing outside and Paul is reading the paper so I snuck into my craftroom :).

The first of todays cards is this one using a sweetpea image, I have so many of these on my wishlist at the moment. The papers are Basic Grey Origins and I have coloured her in copics. The flowers were a rak of Cathy. I have decided to keep it nice and simple, but the bow looks slightly at an angle as I have had to use the scanner as the camera is still not fixed grr.

challenges entered into -

  • Stamping for the weekend - ribbons and bows
  • friday sketchers - sketch
  • allsorts - petals and flowers
  • sweetpea - fairies at the bottom of the garden
  • Stampavie and more - green

My second card is using Jake the footballer from Secret Crafter Stamps. I have coloured him in copics and mounted him on Basic Grey Papers. As this card is for a boy I just used some buttons as embellishments.

Challenges entered -

  • Spoonful of Sugar - One of the boys
  • Simon Says - A card for a child

Finally this is my design team card for Secret Crafter. The theme this week is Get Well Soon Choosen by Wendy. I have used poorly Edwin and coloured him in copic. The papers are MME Asparagus Pad. Do check out the other teams designs.

The copics and papers used in this three projects can be brought from Wendy at Secret Crafter by clicking on the link. Look out for more cards featuring Jake and his sister Molly on my blog this week.

Silver and Blue Sweetpea Fairy

This was coloured last night and finished off tonight. With the boys home for the easter holidays I don't get much of an opportunity during the day to play. This gorgeous stamp (sorry I don't know her actual name) has been coloured in copics with an added silver sakura pen for the highlights. The papers are basic grey boxer, I just love the darker papers with these images, wonderful for me as I am now rediscovering pads that I have used all the pastels out of with Magnolia and WOJ images.
Thank you for all the lovely comments people are leaving me, you are so kind, it is really appreciated and I will try and visit you back in the next week. Just noticed my followers have increased too, thank you all,
Vicky xxx

Here is my first attempt. I have coloured her in copics and added some stickles to the edge of the light source. The flowers are wild orchard crafts and have been glimmer misted. I hope you like x

Secret Crafter - How does your garden grow?

Hello it is lovely and sunny here so I plan to take the boys out to play and make the most of it after all the rain that we have had this past week. I have choosen this gorgeous Sarah Kay stamp to use for the theme on Secret Crafter this week. The papers are from an old Basic grey pad which has long lost the front cover sorry and I have edged them in forest green distressed inks. The image has also been coloured using distressed inks. The flowers are prima and the brad, gems, spacer and watering can charm I picked up from the NEC last week. I hope you like it and remember you can purchase the stamp by clicking on the Secret Crafter logo below.
