Cute Card Thursday - Soft Furnishings - An experiment


Ok I experimented here and not too sure I am that keen on the result, but hey I tried!


The idea was that the image was viewed through a porthole, which has kinda worked. The cover paper is Laura Ashley and is a mock embrodered effect, which I thought nicely suited the challenge. I did add mock stitching along the ribbon using a white crayon but it has not shown up on the photograph. The ribbon is actually velvet, which ties nicely with the theme. The curved edge has not shown up at all well in the photograph I apologise, it is the first time that I have taken a photo of a card that opens iykwim. The flower is one if my lush prima ones and the brad is papermania.
The inside of the card is a sweet ebony image, which has been watercoloured, and mounted on dark blue card and the K and Co paper.

    The front paper and then the porthole paper really bring your eye strait to the image. It turned out cute.
