Aphrodite - Kraftin Kimmie (Totally Papercrafts DT)

This is one of the new goddesses range called Aphrodite. She has been coloured in copics and polychromo's. Yes I made her at the sametime as yesterday's card, so the papers etc are all the same. The pearls are from a left over swirl. This is my design team card for Totally Papercrafts this week where the theme is lace and pearls and was choosen by the lovely Dora. Sorry there was no post yesterday I had a screaming migrane and was in bed by 7pm unheard of since I was a small child.
Here is todays card I love this image, and she has been neglected for so long. The paper is a very old basic grey pad called bittersweet which was discontinued about 3 years ago. I have edged the papers with Victorian Velevet distressed ink. The stickles are actually pink on the flowers they are a shade called cotton candy, which i got years ago (you can tell I have had a massive sort out of my craft room and rediscovered old stash). The lace and flowers are from WOC and the pearls are Hobby House.

Demeter - Kraftin Kimmie

Was I shocked to get these through the post yesterday and had to stamp this one up and begin colouring it. My lovely husband brought them as a surprise set as I had said how much I loved them ( I did Classical Studies as one of my A Levels nearly 20 years ago - eekkk). This stunning lady is called Demeter. I have cloloured her in copics and polychromo's. The paper is MME Lost and found Sunshine Pad, I simply adore this paper. The flowers are WOC, and the lace I think was the ribbon girls.

Now before the challenges I am trying to discover new challenge blogs and moving them from the sidebar to a page tab as for some reason blogger is not letting me copy and paste into the little box and also I am not able to comment on some people's blogs, if you know what I may have done wrong can you please tell me how to fix it.

I have used Rose and Felix from the Wee Ones range by Whimsey, which have been coloured in copics and polychromo's. The papers are by Fancy Pants called Love Story are just perfect for valentines day or for weddings. The adage ticket is Tim Holtz, the lace is cluny (my favourite), the gems which are in her hair and in the top right corner are basic grey half pearls in grazz and ivy, the button is from basic grey olivia embellishment set, the little brads holding the adage ticket on are from the american crafts pastels set. The twine holding the button in place is also holding a little heart charm.

Good morning all, dark and dismall and the type of rain I call scottish as it is a mist that penetrates your bones iykwim. Thank you for all your messages on FIL, he is still in hopsital but slowly on the mend.

I have used an old tilda which was a rak of Jayne (serendipity) sometime last year. I have coloured her in copics and cut her out and sat her on my magnolia die cut branch. The papers are the new mme lost ad found sunshine they are so lush so look out for them being used lots!

The challenge on Kraftin Kimmie this week is make a tag. Not made one before so this was a challenge lol. Coloured in copics Angry Ballerina has been mounted onto tilda papers (rak of Elaine) which have been faux stitched on the join. The ribbons and lace are ribbon girl (actually they are spotty but it doesn't show well on the photo). The flower, button and twine are stash. I hope you like it.

Happy New Year Everyone. I have had an enforced crafting break in December due to family illness, a death in the family, the subsequent funeral just after Christmas and now another family member in hospital. Therefore my craft rating has slipped drastically so I hope all my followers come back.

I have also made this card for the stamp and create spotlight, using Ice Tilda. The papers are Echo Park Times and Seasons, which have been distressed. The seam binding has been tied using the bow easy and stickles and liquid pearls added to the magnolia spruce die. Fun flock has been added to the muff and earmuffs.

Fo my stamp and creaate Christmas stamp Spotlight I have used Holly Tilda, and mounted her onto Kaisercraft Velvet Ensemble papers which are fantastic to use for Christmas due to the richness of the colours, have been distressed and then edges in stickles. The little tree is a magnolai die called spruce. It is currently out of stock but there are lots of other magnolia dies available. I have added fun flock in cotton white and liquid pearls to the boughs, I love this effect.

I have used Cinderella by Whiff of joy, which has been matched perfectly with these stunning papers by Echo Park called Victoria Gardens. The ribbons have been tied using the fabulous bow easy. The gorgeous embroidered flower lace has been painted using distressed inks before being added.

I have used this gorgeous lili of the valley image (which was a birthday present off the lovely Jacqui) for a friends thank you card whom loves anything japanese whom brought me lots of pampering l'occitaine stuff for my birthday. The papers are kaisercraft from chapter one and lush, the ribbon is ribbon girl as is the button and the flowers are of course woc, I have distressed the papers to give them some definition.

I don't play every week in WOYWW as I don't want to bore people and I can't afford to buy new stash each week. Ok my desk today, see my coffee and jam jars at the back I am trying to coordinate my stash into colours of ribbons and embellishments to make them easier to find than all mixed up. I am writting on each of the jars where I got them from so for example all ribbon girl embellishments are in one pot to make it easier when I write my posts up. See the note pads, the left is my challenge not pad that I jot down challenges on and the right is my list of stuff I write down as i do each card, I gave up doing copic numbers ages ago as I use so many! The picture on the wall is me by my youngest son which I love and of course a cup of tea on my favourite mug, Marie from the disney shop (Marie was my mothers name, so it is very special to me).

To say I hate accetate is an understatement! I first tried stamping and heat embossing it and then the copics would not take - grr so I ended up using it as a window. Vicky has used Ally and Beeble from Emerald Faries and coloured them in copics. She has mounted them onto My Minds Eye Stella and Rose Hazel papers. I have used the new Diving Tilda from Magnolia and mounted her onto the Hattie papers from the Stella and Rose range at My Minds Eye. I used Oval Nesties to make the pool that she is diving into. A small doilly is positioned just behind the image panel to give it depth. There is also a little charm hidden to the side sayign made with love.

Promarker trial

I decided to trial my promakers again, I have not used these for over 2 years since i discovered copics, but some of my copics are running out and my wonderful husband said to try promarkers again as they are sitting there gathering dust. Debbi sent me the link for her chart and I coloured it in (admittedly there is one error, when I was not fully concerntrating). Hmm I don't have many as I originally brought the old aqua promarkers and hated them.

So do you want to see my finished work?

I definately need to buy more hair colours if I perserver with them, (I don't have a blender!) Please let me know what you think x The image is a sugar nellie digi.

New WOJ Princess release card - Rapunzel???

I don't know her name sorry I am just calling her Rapunzel for now. The DT kit my hubby brought me as a special treat arrived this morning and I did not know what to ink first!!! This is a return to form kit, think the first kit, all these are yummy. The papers are MME Stella Rose. The rose are woc as is the chiffon ribbon, the bow was made using bow easy and the hydranga and button was from a rak of the gorgeous Elaine.

Ok I have been very brave and tried the no black lines technique that Zoe (Make it crafty) has pioneered. The image is coloured in copics, the paper is prima botanical. The lace is WOC as are the two white flowers. The third I made myself using a marianne collectable die. The brad and blue ribbon are stash. The leaves are a martha stewart punch.

This image was a sweet ebony rak of Cathy years ago I found hiding in my image box and I had to use. Coloured in copics, the paper is Basic Grey - Curio. The lace is WOC and the ribbon is from my stash box. The flowers are also WOC and the butterfly and leaves are punches. A few jems finish off the butterfly.

I managed to feel upto crafting a bit yesterday (back to the doctor's today though) and made this design team card for the totally papercrafts theme of girly girls.
